Servest celebrates Gauteng based graduate employees

The Servest Training Academy (‘Training Academy’) Graduation Ceremony celebrated 150 Gauteng-based colleagues who successfully completed accredited Learnerships and Management Development Programmes. All were declared competent according to NQF standards. These graduates form part of the 1 089 learners trained nationally during the year, reflecting Servest’s national learning footprint and ongoing commitment to development.

The graduates represent multiple business units, including Cleaning and Hygiene, Security, Catering, Parking, and Landscaping, each contributing to Servest’s operational excellence and client service success.

Established in 2010, the Training Academy was created to promote and ensure improved, graded competence among employees through onsite theoretical and practical training. The Academy is accredited by Services SETA, AgriSETA, and SASSETA, ensuring that all programmes meet national quality standards and deliver tangible career development opportunities for employees.

Addressing the graduates, Servest CEO Rob de Grooth congratulated his colleagues, noting:

Today’s Qualifications include:

Over the past five years, Servest has empowered and upskilled more than 4,800 learners.

Natasha Louw, Servest’s, Head of Learning, Talent and Culture, commented: “The Academy aligns with South Africa’s National Skills Development Strategy and B-BBEE transformation goals, particularly in supporting youth and people with disabilities.”

Her training team is currently developing concepts and frameworks to open the Academy to employees from other businesses, enabling more people to benefit from its career development opportunities.

“Servest remains steadfast in its mission to build a skilled, inclusive, and future-ready workforce, one that not only supports business excellence but also contributes meaningfully to South Africa’s broader skills and transformation agenda,” concluded De Grooth.
