Ecubed’s TeacherConnect is among the ten organisations selected from 120 international applicants earlier this year for the Aspen Institute and HP 2023 Digital Equity Accelerator.
The Aspen Institute and HP Digital Equity Accelerator is a programme that aims to help not-for-profit organisations promote digital equity and inclusion in their communities. Each organization is working toward the digital inclusion of marginalized populations and, with the support of the Accelerator, poised to expand their reach and impact over six months.
Founded in 2022, the Accelerator has successfully helped scale seven organizations from India, Morocco, and the United States, boosting their cumulative reach by 1.7 million people and counting.
Projects include WhatsApp chatbots, a national health database, job pathways programs, and focus on vulnerable populations such as indigenous peoples and migrant families.
E-Cubed (DBE-E³) works with South African educators and youth. Through TeacherConnect, a WhatsApp chatbot and online community, it provides tools to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and inspire success for young people.
As part of this programme, E-Cubed (DBE-E³) needs YOUR VOTE in the People’s Choice Award. The People’s Choice Awards is an opportunity for the 10 organisations who are part of the 2023 Digital Equity Accelerator to elevate and celebrate their work in the lead up to the 2023 Accelerating Digital Equity Global Summit (“Global Summit”) taking place on 17-19 October 2023.
