Since 2008, Nation Builder has been bringing like-minded businesses and civil society together in order to learn from each other and partner for the greatest possible impact through wise and responsible social investing. Fast forward to 2021, the non-profit platform will be launching its first Virtual Impact Management Reporting Guideline on the 25th of March 2021 at 10:00 am.
The lack of standardised measurements makes it almost impossible to compare and determine which approaches accomplish the best results hence the need for a guideline to help standardise much of the reporting that social investors need to move forward. The impact guideline is the result of an 18-month collaboration between nearly 100 social investors and non-profit organisations (NPOs) in the Nation Builder community to create a shared solution that meets the requirements of all parties.
It takes a deep dive into the 7 key principles of impact reporting, the importance of using a measurement framework, the methodologies and tools you can use to enhance your reporting and more. The guideline will be freely available to view or download from the Nation Builder website after the launch.
“At a time when funding has slowed and social needs have increased dramatically, it’s never been more important for NPOs and social investors to be able to quantify their social impact. Stakeholders want more efficiency, consistency, value and quality in terms of the social impact insights that are available to them, which has shown a collective need for well-informed decision-making,” commented Keri-Leigh Paschal, Executive Director of social impact initiative, Nation Builder.
The event will be opened by Keri-Leigh Paschal, Executive Director at Nation Builder, followed by Hlengiwe Phiri, Product & Community Manager at Nation Builder who will be introducing the Impact Management Reporting Guideline. Dave Duarte, Founder of Treeshake will deliver the Keynote Address themed ‘Bringing your Impact Report to Life – using compelling visual imagery and storytelling. Weighing in on Impact Management will be Paul Pereira, Founder of WHAM! Media.
Attendees can also look forward to a robust panel discussion, facilitated by Paul Pereira of WHAM! Media with industry leaders Desigan Chetty, COO from Property Point, Charlene Lackay, Group CSI Manager from Momentum Metropolitan Holdings and Linda Morrison, Managing Director of We are Durban. In closing, guests will also be invited to take part in a Question & Answer Session.
