Since 2012 Cupcakes of Hope has been encouraging South Africans to put on their aprons and bake cupcakes for charity.In light of International Childhood Cancer Day which was commemorated on the 15th of February,the organisations âCupcakes 4 Kids with Cancerâ fundraising initiative managed to raise over R725 000 for the 2021 âCupcakes 4 Kids with Cancerâ bake-off.Last year they raised just over R500,000 but this year they raised more money.
The non-profit organization has always been dedicated to raising funds to assist not only the financial and emotional needs of the children with cancer and their families fighting the disease. Furthermore,Cupcakes of Hope also helps drive awareness about early cancer detection in children through the love of baking.
Cupcakes Of Hope fundraisers are hosted by volunteers throughout the year in a wide variety of formats. The funds raised enable the charity to assist about 100 children every month by paying for their medical or day-to-day expenses.
