Checkers Queenstown donates essential toiletries to patients at Frontier Hospital

Checkers Queenstown donated some much-needed care packages containing essential toiletries, snacks and water to the Covid-19 patients at the Frontier Hospital last week.

“It is not the first time the Shoprite Group has donated to our patients and for that, I would like to extend our heartfelt thank you,” commented Mrs Sindiswa Tywabi, Department of Health District Manager in Queenstown. “Since this pandemic started we have been inundated with large numbers of patients and some do not have essential toiletries.”

The Shoprite Group has donated thousands of Covid-19 care packages to hospitals in the Eastern Cape, Gauteng, Free State, KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape.

“Many of Covid-19 patients cannot afford basic toiletries and that is why we have identified various health facilities to assist those patients in need. We will continue to support those impacted by this pandemic,” said Lunga Schoeman, CSI Manager for the Shoprite Group.
