Covid-19 has shone a spotlight on just how important it is to take care of our health

The good news is that you can have fun whilst making sure that you are healthy and well.

Umlazi Mega City, together with the non-profit organization Love Life, is thrilled to be hosting the third Annual Virtual Love Life Mega Fun Run & Walk this year. This two-day virtual event will take place on the Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th, 2020.

According to Umlazi Mega City’s Marketing Manager, Zinhle Zungu, the aim is to encourage the KwaZulu Natal Community to continue exercising in order to help prevent or manage lifestyle diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and obesity which have made many of our local people vulnerable to Covid-19 infection.

The event usually includes both a 5 kilometre Mega Fun Run and Walk in Umlazi. However, because this year’s event is a virtual one, people from across the country can join in and cover the same distance in their local parks, community stadiums, gardens or even around the neighbourhood.

Entries close on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020
