Optimi Campus will be officially opening in January 2020 in Lynwood, Tshwane, giving learners who are doing their Grade 10-12 aĀ chance to study at their own pace, in their own time. Optimi campus will implement the Impaq curriculum, which has already been successfully used by 6,000 Grade 10-12 home education learners in 2019 and is based on the national CAPS curriculum. Impaq is a distant education provider and is a proud member of Optimi. It will operate from 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays and feature individual workstations and smaller group classes.
Optimi Campus will be offering two packages which include textbooks. The first is the Comprehensive Plan is designed for full-time home education learners. The second package is the Subject Plan, which caters for learners who would like to rewrite a subject after matric or who are seeking assistance in a specific subject via correspondence or on campus. Learners will also have access to the Optimi digital platform which provides online educational support groups in certain subjects as well as a portal for parents to view and monitor their childrenās progress.
Grade 12 learners who successfully complete their studies at Optimi Campus will receive the same National Senior Certificate (NSC) which every matriculant in the country receives. This enables them to apply at any university as long as they meet the requisite pass requirements for their chosen field of study.
