Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa CCBSA employees attended the Employee Volunteerism at Qophindela Secondary School to repair / replace windows and doors, and build shelves for the library

CCBSA held a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative known as Employee Volunteerism last week at Qophindela Secondary School in Ezakheni to uplift the local community.

Employee Volunteerism is a CCBSA CSI initiative whereby every permanent CCBSA employee is given an opportunity to use one full working day each financial year to participate in one of the many CCBSA CSI initiatives. The beneficiary, Qophindela Secondary School, was established in 1993 and currently has 693 learners and 17 teachers.

“The school has produced excellent results with no teaching aids”.

In 2002 and 2003, they had a 100% pass rate and they are still maintaining an above 75% pass rate. The principal of the school, Ms Khumalo, was extremely excited about the work that was done and pleaded with CCBSA to come back in the future.
