The Eco-Logic Awards recognise inspiring conservation efforts in various sectors, such as water.
The annual awards celebrate eco-heroes and innovators who find solutions to environmental challenges.
There are 14 award categories, including recycling, transport, climate change, biodiversity, and water conservation.
The founder of the Eco-Logic Awards, David Parry-Davies, says many of the nominees this year are initiatives operating in the Western Cape.
Davies describes some of the projects, including an ecolatrine sanitation project, and water-saving efforts at the following places:
- Langrug Informal Settlement near Franschhoek
- Table Bay Hotel
- Avis Rent a Car
Judges will meet in April to assess all the entries, before crowning winners on 5 June 2018, World Environment Day.
