The Uyinene Mrwetyana Foundation together with Makazole Mapimpi Foundation are proud to announce their partnership in the Annual Uyinene Mrwetyana Foundation Anti-Gender Based Violence and Femicide Walk.
Through our joint efforts, we amplify our collective voices in combating and ultimately ending GBVF in South Africa. Under the fighting spirt of Uyinene, we find a shared mission of raising awareness and restoring humanity.
Our collaboration is deeply meaningful, as Makazole Mapimpi captured the hearts of many in 2019 when he paid tribute to Uyinene during a World Cup warm-up game, revealing âNENE R.I.Pâ message on his wrist. Her memory continues to inspire both foundations, bringing us together for this yearâs Annual Walk in Cape Town.
We call on everyone to stand with us and participate in this yearâs walk under the themed banner of âEliminating the Fear: Prioritising Safety and Security.â
