Avhahumi Foundation launches library in Lwamondo

Avhahumi Foundation which was named after the late aunt of Funanani Lischen Mulaudzi (founder). Funanani’s story started after the passing of her aunt (Avhahumi Sara Sidogi) who couldn’t read and write,
Funanani identified a gap in the village and created a book (literacy) campaign drive where she started collecting books to empower the community at Ha-Madamalala village by passing wisdom and knowledge. Freedom day 27.04.2021 at HaMadamalala village was celebrated differently this year.

To many history was made. One of many successful stories from this campaign is that Ha-Madamalala has a
Library (Avhahumi’s home) for the community and WiFi accessibility that enables students to study, learn and research.

Funanani was inspired to do more with the guidance of her cousin the Chief Sidogi identified families who needed support with food, school shoes and toiletries, these items were handed to those families on the day 27th April 2021.Funanani’s goal for 2022 is for her project to have raised enough funds to build Avhahumi learning centre that will create jobs and be able to accommodate the community to have access to unlimited growth resources.

Avhahumi Foundation will be launching a second Library at Lwamondo, Shondoni Secondary School, the school was closed down, abondaned and when Tshitshithe Foundation reached out to Funanani to collaborate, Funanani saw it fitting to launch a second library utilising an infrastructure that is already existing and safe for the
community.

On the 24th of September 2021 Avhahumi foundation along side many other stakeholders such as the Alumni of the Shondoni school will join hands and contribute to the event,The main goal is to empower the Lwamondo pupils with university Bursaries, have a platform that will be consistent to hold career guidance events, workshop on various topics that would be Conducted by specialists not limited to teenage pregnancies,
