Impilo Collection Foundation helps keep schools safe

Impilo Collection Foundation is doing its part to ensure pupils across the country remain in school as South Africa and the world continue to battle the Covid-19 pandemic.

As part of our commitment to help make a difference in society, Impilo Collection Foundation is delivering more than 9,000 litres sanitiser and 100 theometers of much-needed in three batches:

• The first batch of 1,300 litres of sanitizer will be distributed from Phandimfundo Secondary School in Ekurhuleni on Monday 06 August 2021 at 08:00. The batch will be donated to five high schools in the Daveyton area. The distribution will be supported by local councillor Nomadlozi Nkosi.

• The receiving ceremony for the second batch of sanitiser to be distributed will take place at the Reshomile Primary School in Diepsloot on Monday 13 August 2021 at 08:00. 4,000 litres of sanitiser will be distributed to 30 schools across all nine provinces in South Africa, in support of the iSchoolAfrica and VUMA schools projects.

• The third batch of 4,700 litres of sanitiser will be distributed to 39 schools in Soweto on Monday 20 August 2021 at 08:00, in support of the Empowervate – Youth Citizens Action Programme and The Trevor Noah Foundation.Founder of Impilo Collection Foundation, Angela Yeung, says there is no doubt that
the pandemic has interrupted the education of South Africa’s youth, adding that no child deserves to be left behind.

Yeung hopes the three consignments of sanitiser will help pupils remain in school during these trying times.
She believes a solid education is key to future development: “Education breeds confidence; confidence breeds hope, and hope breeds peace.“We want pupils across the country to have the opportunity to learn and grow. We
want them to be confident about taking on their future. It is also important for our educators to feel safe while teaching during these challenging times,” she says.
