SPARK Ferndale scholars clean-up Emma Park

In an effort to serve its community better, SPARK Ferndale scholars, staff and 94 families gathered at Emma Park in Risidale to clean the park and its surrounding areas.

The scholars used the clean-up as an opportunity to promote engagement and improve the quality of life for their community, and the environment.

“At SPARK Ferndale we empower change agents and celebrate scholars who bring to life our core values of service, persistence, achievement, responsibility, and kindness. Our learners live by these values in the classroom, on the sports field and playground, and in their communities,” said Lezanne Jacobs, Principal at SPARK Ferndale.

“SPARK Schools is celebrating its 10th anniversary and we value the community’s ongoing support for our network. This was a wonderful way for our scholars to give back,’’ says Jacobs
