An exciting new partnership has the goal of bringing water to rural SA

deboer swim, a leading manufacturer of premium swim products, and Relate Water, a non-profit social enterprise, have announced a groundbreaking founding partnership aimed at providing clean, accessible water to rural South African villages.

As a founding partner, deboer swim will play a crucial role in launching and supporting Relate Water’s initiatives, committing 1% of its annual sales, and 100% of additional “Relate Water branded” sales to fund water infrastructure projects in underserved communities. This partnership leverages deboer’s brand recognition and customer base to raise awareness and funds for Relate Water’s cause while showcasing deboer’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainability.

Key aspects of the partnership include:

  • deboer will create special edition items to be sold on deboerswim.com, with 100% of sales benefiting Relate Water

  • Relate Water will produce a limited edition bracelet for inclusion in all deboer wetsuit orders, highlighting the partnership

  • Joint marketing initiatives to promote water conservation and sustainable practices, emphasising deboer’s role as a founding partner

  • Collaboration with deboer’s professional athlete team to elevate Relate Water’s brand recognition and showcase the partnership

“As a founding partner of Relate Water, we are honoured to play a pivotal role in bringing clean water to rural South African communities,” said Alex de Boer, founder of deboer swim. “Our deep connection to water through our products drives our commitment to ensuring everyone has access to this vital resource.  As athletes, we are extremely fortunate to have water for recreation. It only makes sense then, to support others who are in need of this precious resource.”

Lauren Gillis, founder of Relate Water, added, “Our partnership with deboer swim marks a significant milestone in our efforts to address water scarcity in rural South Africa. deboer’s commitment to this partnership will greatly amplify our impact and help us transform more lives through access to clean water.”

The partnership between deboer swim and Relate Water represents a powerful union of business and social enterprise, demonstrating how companies can take a leading role in driving positive change in communities in need.
