Clarins impressed judges at the 2024 Woman & Home Beauty Awards, taking home not one, but two, highly coveted awards

The winning products were Clarins Cryo-Flash Cream Mask, which was named ‘Best Firming Mask’ in the skincare category, while Clarins Self Tan Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster took top honours as ‘Best self-tan for face’ in the Sun & Tan category.

The Woman & Home Beauty Awards is an annual celebration of the very best – or, as the magazine puts it, ‘holy’ grail’ – products in a brand’s stable. Local and international brands are invited to submit their top products for testing by a panel of expert judges, which this year included Woman & Home Health and Beauty Editor Leandri de Kock, specialist beauty writer and content creator Candice Kannemeyer, luxury brand manager and founder of the Official Perfume Plug Zesipho Mncwango, actress and presenter Carishma Basday, Dr Lauren Knight, a dermatologist with a special interest in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, editor and beauty and wellness advocate Danielle Weakley, and Head of Beauty for Woman & Home, Jade Smith.

More than 600 entries were received this year, all subject to rigorous evaluation. Amidst this tough competition, the judges’ stringent criteria ensure that an award signifies the quality and commitment to excellence of any brand, with the seal bestowed on winners acting as an endorsement of this merit.

Clarins Cryo-Flash Cream Mask and Self Tan Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster certainly earn this distinction, with judge Dr Lauren Knight commenting on “its instant cooling effect – followed by an immediate tightening, but not drying, feeling”. Meanwhile, Candice Kannemeyer called the Self Tan Radiance-Plus Glow Booster “so easy to use – fool-proof, in fact. Takes the anxiety out of tanning your face.”

The Cryo-Flash Cream Mask is a favorite for firming and tightening, providing all the benefits of cold cryotherapy in just 10 minutes. The mask combines the power of MGA molecules, derived from menthol and organic evening primrose extract, to deliver professional, long-lasting results in the form of smoother looking skin – visible from the very first application.

Clarins Self Tan Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster is the embodiment of Clarins’ plant-based philosophy, with 95% of ingredients sourced from nature. Ideal for all types of skin, including normal, oily, combination and dry, the liquid is easily blended into any Clarins day or night cream and allows users to create the glow that suits them: use one drop to add a blush of colour, two drops for a subtle effect, and three for a deep, bronze tan.

“We are extremely excited by this win,” enthuses Clarins communication specialist Nthabiseng Makhoka. “While we obviously have every confidence in the quality and efficacy of our products, it’s wonderful to have this confirmed by industry experts and we see the results in the sales! Our customers adore these two products too”

Makhoka adds that this recognition is an endorsement of everything the brand values, from its commitment to nature-based science to its ongoing drive to embrace sustainability.

“If ever there were two products you needed for the ultimate summer skincare kit – these would be it! Cryo mask makes your skin feel tighter, firmer – perfect for those endless end of year functions and the sun drops are all the tan without the sun damage! It’s going to be a Clarins Summer!” Nthabiseng concludes.
