Learners celebrate Women’s Day with author Tiffany Dufu

Coronation Fund Managers recently hosted over 70 learners from Gauteng schools to celebrate young women for Women’s Day. The event, which was held in Sandton,  highlighted the importance of managing finances and staying focused when attempting to achieve set out goals.

The students were addressed by Tiffany Dufu, whose new book, Drop the Ball: Achieving More by Doing Less, has been championed by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, feminist icon Gloria Steinem and media entrepreneur Arianna Huffington.

Dufu is the chief leadership officer at Levo, a network for professional millennial’s, and an advisor to top companies. She spoke to the learners about the importance of focus, and how to ensure they achieve their goals in coming years. Kirshni Totaram, global head of institutional business at Coronation, also assisted the girls with practical tips about managing their finances in future years. Totaram said that Women’s Day offers an important reminder of local women’s struggle for freedom and progress.

“At Coronation, we are determined to build on this proud legacy. This event provided an opportunity for us to celebrate young women and to encourage them to live life on their own terms.” concluded Totaram
